One Eye, Two Eyes and Three Eyes

One Eye and Three Eyes, along with their mother, don´t like their sister, Two Eyes.”You look like everyone else, and they´re mean...you don´t belong to us” they taunt, and they don´t let her eat anything, but the scraps from their plates. Hearing her crying from hunger, a wise woman appears and instructs her to say to her goat, “Bleat, bleat, my little goat, bleat, Cover the table with something to eat”. A feast appears, and when she´s full she recites, as instructed “Bleat, bleat, my little goat, I pray, And take the table quite away.” Her envious mother discovers her secret (through Three Eyes), and kills her goat. The wise woman appears again, tells Two Eyes to bury the goat´s entrails, and the next morning she finds a tree with silver leaves and golden fruit. A handsome knight stops, and declares “whoever gives me a branch of this tree, can have whatever they wish.” One Eye and Three Eyes try in vain....at last as the knight receives a branch from Two Eyes, she asks to be taken away. He marries her, and years later when her sisters come begging, she takes them in and cares for them.
