This is a collection of my art work from school assignments, "just for fun", and commissioned work. If you are interested in commissioning me for work, you can e-mail me at tera.grasser@gmail.com.

I'm very excited to start working on a new project where I illustrate people doing one of my favorite things, which is dancing!

Little measuring device guy
I just finished illustrating this little guy for one of my favorite clients. It's a sensor and the illustration will be used for software.

Things to know about hiring an illustrator for your book
I thought this was a pretty good explanation for people looking to hire illustrators for their books. I'm mostly just posting it so I have a good resource to refer people to when asked this question.

bought a new font
So, I got an unexpected royalty check in the mail yesterday. At first I thought I should probably by something that I need, but instead I bought this font. And I love it! If you have a favorite font I would love to hear about it.

Hmmmm
Ok, so I'm actually allergic to dairy, so that creamy stuff on top... not really an option for me... but they are so pretty!!!!!!
Delicia
This illustration started out being a portrait of my mom for a family cook book and turned into this character named Delicia. She is a Supercook/dancer and I love her :).

My family 15 years ago
I figured since I can illustrate I could recreate my family memories of 15 years ago. The girl with the baseball hat is me :). And my mom really is great! Oh and the phone represents my oldest sister since she called my mom every day and talked for hours.
Vacation in New York
The two girls in this picture commissioned me to illustrate their family vacation in New York City and gave it to their parents for Christmas. They loved it. And I thought it was a really fun project to work on.

To my closest friends...
If there was one person in the world I felt comfortable enough taking care of business while on the phone it would be YOU!
P.S. Sometimes I like re-doing artwork in a different medium just to see what happens.

family portrait
So, my boss found some doodles I made of his kids with crayons and commissioned me to paint a "cartoony" family portrait for his wife as a gift for their 9 year wedding anniversary. Thank goodness she loved it. :)

Very frosty Christmas
Recently I have decided to create 4 new illustrations a week. As part of this goal I chose a few different topics to illustrate. One of them is to create 3 chapter heading illustrations for a Harry Potter book. It's been years since I've looked at them and could hardly remember any details. So, in order to be unbiased of the existing illustrations I covered the illustration (with closed eyes)with a business card before I started reading. This way I couldn't see the illustration. Unfortunately the general illustration ended up being the same every time. But I guess that's what happens when you are working with the same chapter. But the details are a little different.

Cinderella
I know it's time to start illustrating other things than fairy tales, but I just wanted to re-do this illustration I did when I was in college. I have one similar to it... and just thought I would change it up a little.

Verily Magazine Article on female villains
I really enjoyed working on this project since I love illustrating fairy tales and especially villains.
