IT's OUT! Go get it!

I illustrated this book in two months. It has 22 illustrations and I worked really hard during those two months since I also had a full time job illustrating and designing. It was a fun project to do and I think you should all get a copy or two :).

STREEET DANCE series

Street Dance is the latest series I developed at my work, with my colleagues. It was fun. I've always wanted to illustrate and design a "hip hop" type of series, so when my boss suggested it.... I was pretty stoked.

My Designs at the international toy fair

The designs I did at work were displayed at one of the worlds largest toy fair this week in Nürnberg "Spielwarenmesse".

It's too bad the picture is so blurry. It looks a lot better in "real". Sorry I wasn't allowed to take pictures of all the cool stuff around but it was cool to see what's out there.

My next book....coming out this May

I was very excited to receive an e-mail from a publisher asking me to illustrate another book for them. It was fun and a lot of hard work since it had to be done very quickly. I had lots of help from ward and neighbour friends and am greatful for that.

Trade Show in Hamburg

For those of you wondering what I do now. This is a picture of a part of the traveling expo in Germany. The company I work for sells stationary items, gift items... etc. all around Germany. We buy them in the far east and have our designs put on them.

I designed and illustrated the horse series for example. In a year we design around 350 different items. It's hard to see what these things are, but they are Ringbinders, stickers, temp. tattoos, stamps, sationary sets, savingstins and so on...

Release date March 8th

The book I have worked on last summer is being released March 8th. My friend who pre- ordered already got it. I haven't even seen it yet.... but I'm sure I will sometime soon. I guess it takes a while for things to get to Germany.

I was googling my name on the internet because I wanted to make sure people could find my website, and was surprised to see the the book I've been working on over the summer is already on amazon and you can already pre order it. Yeah!!!

It's my first book so it's kind of exciting. It took a lot of work, and I am so greatful for all the help and encouragement I received from friends, family and strangers who were willing to model for me.

This is what I've been up to

I'm sorry I haven't really been posting anything. I've been so busy working as a full time in-house illustrator and graphic designer. It's been soooooo much fun. I've been able to try out different styles which has been fun for me too. I'm also spending the time when I get off or work to try and brush up on my illustrator (the software program) skills. I totally recommend Lynda.com. It's amazing.

I'm also working on the revisions for the book I'm illustrating. It will be published in March. So exciting!!!

Something I did a long time ago

This was a montage that was supposed to illustrate stress. My topic was "having to clean" and how that can create stress in my life. This was the first time I used that outreaching hand.
